Make a Change for the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day

Today is Earth Day, 2010, the 40th Anniversary of the call to action from U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson to learn about and protect the world that sustains us. The first Earth Day Celebration saw 20 million Americans come out to conduct peaceful demonstrations to push for environmental reform and now, 40 years later, we are finally starting to see hope that our country will make big changes to make our lives more sustainable. The United States stands poised to become a world leader in Environmental Protection, but this is not a certainty; Americans need to stand up today and affirm the virtue of environmental protection and ensure that we change course and save our world. Earth Day is here, and the time to act is now.
